FAQs

HomeLink is the first gate and garage door opener directly integrated into the vehicle’s interior. HomeLink can learn the radio frequencies and codes of compatible remote controls and then operate up to three different home automation systems. For example:
  • Opens and closes garage doors
  • Operates property gates
  • Activates/deactivates alarm systems
  • Controls lighting systems and much more

By means of a simple programming process, HomeLink learns the codes of your original remote control. Working closely with manufacturers of automatic door opening systems and radio equipment, HomeLink has been engineered to operate systems that use either standard or rolling codes.

While HomeLink is compatible with a wide variety of radio frequency controlled garage doors and devices, we can only confirm device compatibility for products in our primary regions, North America and Europe. To view compatible devices in those markets, change your region by selecting “change region” at the bottom of this page.

No! HomeLink has been designed to accept only the codes from the original remote control in its immediate vicinity.

A shorter range may be the result of interference around or near your vehicle, or it could be that your original remote control was operating on old batteries when the programming was done. Just change the batteries in the original remote control and use the operating instructions to reprogram HomeLink. This will probably solve the range problem.
